Overstrand Medical Centre

Better Healthcare for Community Growth

Overview

Overstrand Medical Centre is being built to respond to our community health needs. The hospital project, funded by private investors, aims to improve healthcare, and boost socio-economic growth in the Greater Gansbaai region. Located at the entrance to Gansbaai, opposite the police station, the modern 20-bed medical centre will have an emergency unit, two operating theatres, acute care beds, diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, as well as a pharmacy. The 24x7 facility will meet inpatient and outpatient needs, boost specialized care, and support patients from local medical practitioners.

Why invest in healthcare?

Cape Ethical Organics is an investment developer seeking opportunities to enable positive impact in Western Cape communities. The investment into healthcare is seen as strategic for urban development that promotes active living and socio-economic growth. Global research shows that medical institutions play a major role in the social and economic vitality of communities. They create jobs, they spend on goods and services, and they generate economic activity.

Cape-EO believes that together with the right partners and with support from stakeholders and the community, the planned facility will be an anchor medical institution that leverages local resources and attracts further community investment. Its presence will uplift the lives of those already resident in the community, while also making Gansbaai and surrounding communities more attractive as a semigration and retirement destination
